WEEK 3 - Food Tech! Culinary kids Chef Camp (July 6- July 10 )

$700.00

Master the art of the kitchen, one recipe at a time.

At our Cooking Camp, we believe the best way to learn is by doing. This week, we are putting away the screens and picking up the whisks. Every day is a new culinary adventure where campers master a signature dish from scratch, learning the traditional techniques that turn a simple recipe into a gourmet meal.

The "Five Days, Five Dishes" Menu

Each day, our kitchen transforms into a new world of flavor as we tackle a different culinary challenge:

  • Monday: The Italian Trattoria (Handmade Pasta) We start with the basics of flour and eggs. Campers will learn the art of kneading, rolling, and cutting fresh fettuccine, topped with a slow-simmered marinara sauce.

  • Tuesday: The Street Food Social (Authentic Tacos) Explore the balance of heat and acid. Campers will press their own corn tortillas and learn to balance flavors with hand-mashed guacamole and fresh pico de gallo.

  • Wednesday: The Patisserie (The Science of Baking) It’s time for something sweet! We’ll dive into the chemistry of baking as we whip up light, airy cupcakes and master the "piping" techniques for professional-looking frosting.

  • Thursday: The Pan-Asian Bistro (Sushi & Rolls) Focus on precision and texture. Campers will learn to season sushi rice and master the "rolling" technique to create beautiful California rolls and veggie maki.

  • Friday: The All-American Diner (The Ultimate Burger & Fries) Our final feast! Campers will learn how to season proteins perfectly and hand-cut golden fries, culminating in a celebratory lunch they built from the ground up.

Skills We Build

Cooking is a delicious way to learn essential life skills that go far beyond the stove:

  • Knife Safety: Mastering the "bridge" and "claw" grips to chop like a professional.

  • Kitchen Math: Learning how to double a recipe or measure ingredients with total precision.

  • Heat Control: Understanding the difference between a simmer, a boil, and a sauté.

  • Palate Development: Tasting as we go to understand how salt, fat, and acid work together.

The Chef’s Standards

  • Safety First: Our kitchen is a supervised, high-safety environment. All campers are trained on stovetop and oven safety before we begin.

  • Clean As You Go: We teach the professional habit of keeping a tidy workstation—an essential skill for any master chef!

  • Teamwork: Campers work in small "Kitchen Brigades," learning to communicate and cooperate to get every dish served on time.

FUN FRIDAY TRIP: (Optional)
We will ask campers where they want to go on Monday and will decide by wednesday. Options are endless with theme parks, Science centers, Zoos and more!
