Artificial Intelligence is changing the world, and this week, we’re handing your camper the keys to the engine. We go beyond the "chatbot." Campers will explore the inner workings of Neural Networks, Generative Art, and Robotics, moving from AI consumers to AI Architects.
We break down the most complex technology of our time into hands-on, creative projects:
Training Your First Model: Using tools like Google’s Teachable Machine, campers will train their own AI to recognize hand gestures, facial expressions, or specific objects, learning the fundamentals of "Data Sets" and "Classification."
Generative Art & Music: Dive into the world of AI creativity. Learn how to use "Prompts" to generate stunning digital masterpieces, write song lyrics, and even compose original melodies with AI assistance.
AI & Robotics: Discover how AI "sees" the world. We’ll explore computer vision and how autonomous machines—like self-driving cars—use AI to navigate and make split-second decisions.
The most important part of AI is the human behind it. We facilitate age-appropriate discussions on:
Bias in AI: Understanding why AI makes mistakes and how we can build "Fair AI" for everyone.
Deepfakes & Truth: How to tell the difference between AI-generated content and reality in the digital age.
The Creative Partner: Learning to use AI as a tool to enhance human creativity, not replace it.
This camp prepares students for a world where AI is a standard tool in every industry:
Prompt Engineering: The art of communicating clearly with AI to get high-level results.
Data Literacy: Understanding how information is collected, organized, and used by machines.
Critical Thinking: Learning to question and verify the "answers" an AI provides.
Problem Solving: Identifying real-world problems that AI can help solve, from climate change to healthcare.
On Friday, campers will present their "AI for Good" projects. Whether it’s an app that helps identify recyclable materials or a tool that assists with homework, they will show off their inventions to parents and fellow campers in our "Tech Expo."
FUN FRIDAY TRIP: (Optional)
We will ask campers where they want to go on Monday and will decide by wednesday. Options are endless with theme parks, Science centers, Zoos and more!
